Self-Compassion Quiz developed by Dr. Kristin Neff determines how self-compassionate you are. It is a very enlightening quiz that will increase your awareness of what it means to be self-compassionate. The very act of completing the quiz will help you be kinder to yourself or at least be more aware of the little voice inside your head and how it impacts your body. There are also several guided meditations. My favourite is the 5- minute Self-Compassion Break.

Morning Pages Julie Cameron, the author of the Artist’s Way, shares a powerful practice called Morning Pages which are described as: “three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. *There is no wrong way to do Morning Pages*–they are not high art. They are not even “writing.” They are about anything and everything that crosses your mind– and they are for your eyes only. Morning Pages provoke, clarify, comfort, cajole, prioritize and synchronize the day at hand. Do not overthink Morning Pages: just put three pages of anything on the page…and then do three more pages tomorrow.

Present Possibilities with Amber Pavey
At TCM, we’ve shared the transformative power of meditation and mindfulness with many folks. They’ve had profound changes within themselves and their lives and have been curious about how they can bring simple mindfulness tools to the children in their lives. That happens to be Amber’s superpower, and she contributed a guest blog post to TCM providing answers to common questions about children and mindfulness.
Healthy Directions with Liz Hides
We all have times when we’re facing the stress and impact of grief, loss and transitions. Navigating these storms can be challenging, and we at TCM are grateful for the restorative and preventative power of meditation and mindfulness in helping us survive and come out of the storm to thrive in our lives. I contacted Liz Hides, a fellow meditation teacher and grief specialist, and she kindly agreed to contribute a guest blog post and share her personal story and professional expertise with us.
An inspiring book that empowers women to come home to themselves and a life that aligns with their souls. Awakening a Woman’s Soul explores the modern-day woman’s battle with soul hunger. Soul hunger is a deep inner longing for things to change. Our souls call for a shift from living a life based on how we should be and what we should do to how we are meant to be and who we are meant to become.
